Bringing your Dog

Aberdeenshire was made for holidays with your dog! There is so much to explore together, places to go, things to do, we have it all.

New sniffs

Dog Friendly Parks

Your beloved pooch is guaranteed as wonderful a break as you are here in Aberdeenshire! As well as miles upon miles of countryside to enjoy, you’ll find safe, enclosed dog friendly parks all over the place.  Lots of spots to let your dog roam freely to take in all those new sights and smells.

Shady woodland walks

Dunnottar Forest Trail

Stay nice and cool with a meander through the woods! Dunnottar Forest Trail is a beautiful, accessible walk among the trees – take it at your own pace and be prepared to meet lots of other four legged friends along the way.  Take some supplies and pause for a picnic along the way – just don’t forget the sausages!

Splash around

165 Miles of Coastline

Is there a better sight than a happy hound splashing in the surf? We don’t think so! With sandy beaches, hidden coves and rock pools galore, you’ll find plenty of beautifully scenic spots to enjoy together along the vast Aberdeenshire coastline.

Get Outside

Country Walks

If you prefer your adventures a little more off grid why not pack a bag, take some snacks and enjoy a leisurely ramble together through our beautiful countryside.  With over 6,000 square kilometres of Aberdeenshire to get to grips with, there’s no limit to where your feet can take you!

Into The Wild

Cairngorms

Looking for more of a challenge to take on that the dog can be part of? The Cairngorms National Park offers walks and adventures at both ends of the spectrum – enjoy a gentle ramble or a dramatic mountain hike.  Taking the usual precautions around livestock, the Cairngorms is a beautiful spot to enjoy with your hound.
